Mark Pickstone
I’m absolutely gutted and stunned to tell you that a very dear friend of mine, Mark Pickstone, died last night (12th March 2022). We worked closely together on songs that would later be used in Schwarzeneggar and as you know he was the keyboard player in that band. Mark was a gentle and caring giant who I loved very much and I shall miss him greatly. I ask you all to raise a glass to him. My thoughts go to his wife and family. See you later Mark. Bob Butler
It’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Bob Butler died on Monday 28th February 2022. As most of you know we worked together in Schwarzeneggar and The Last Supper, but more than a work mate he was a true friend, a bloody good bass player, a bloody good bloke and I shall bloody well miss him. I shall always think of him with that cheeky grin on his face as the pair of us would slope off for that sneaky beer. My arms reach out to Helga in this dreadful time. See yo

Evie
Sorry to have to tell you that after this there will be no more new pictures of Evie appearing as she passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning 11th October 2021. Just picked up her ashes and she is now safely tucked up in the garden with daffodil bulbs for company. We had a wonderful 10 years with a wonderful companion – yes, tears but also smiles and great memories. Steve and Jona #EnglishBullterrier #Evie #SteveIgnorant #YourDayWillCome

Today is a special day – 11th April
Today is a special day – Dave King, who designed the Crass symbol, left us last year and today is his birthday. There was meant to be a celebration of his life in San Francisco but obviously that won’t happen. What I would ask is for all of you who have a Crass symbol somewhere – be it on your body or a poster or a t-shirt – doesn’t matter which – take a picture and share it. I have very fond memories of me, Dave and Dionne in their apartment in Prince Street, NYC putting the

Max Bode
More sad news I’m afraid – Max Bode, one of my closest friends and the inspiration behind the song ‘Diffrability’ passed away Friday 1st November 2019 at the age of 25. Listen for free on spotify to Diffrability: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5cfgbqj0YowAIiw0EkIGGQ He always had a smile on his face and whenever we got together we’d always have a great laugh at the expense of those straights who couldn’t see past his wheelchair. Fucking lovely bloke and will be missed by man

Dave King
I’m absolutely gutted to have to tell you that Dave King, who designed the Crass symbol in 1977, has died. He was a bloody good mate and I’ll miss him. My thoughts and arms reach out to Dionne, his soulmate of many years. But we can all take comfort in the knowledge that a part of Dave is emblazoned on people’s bodies all over the world. See you later Dave. You’ll never be forgotten. Here’s to you mate. Steve, 19th October 2019 Exhibition of Dave King in 2013 at Needles And
