Tokyo, Japan 16th and 17th January 2018

Playing with Paranoid Visions in Tokyo was certainly special. The people we met could not have been more friendly and helpful. We were looked after from the moment we arrived to when we were on the plane again which was a good thing as nearly all of the writing is in Japanese.

Tokyo by day.
Tokyo by night.

The support bands we played with were fantastic and I absolutely loved listening to them. It’s a shame it’s so expensive for them to come over to Europe as I know they would go down here really well.

The sound was superb and there was a great crowd.

Great to see that recycling was a big thing, though I had no idea what to put in what bin.
Second night in between sound check and doors. We’re all a bit jetlagged and tired.

Thank you Tokyo.

Slice Of Life in Ireland 20-22nd October

We were all looking forward to going back to Ireland again after the warm welcome we had last year when we went on the ferry and Carol drove us around in her van. As we didn’t fancy getting up at 3 am to drive to the ferry we decided this time that flying was so much better.

Well …. It took ages for me and Jona to get through security as every single bag got checked thoroughly at Stansted. Carol had a long train journey leaving at 6am before arriving at Heathrow. And the Pete’s who are only half an hour away from the airport in Manchester got stuck on the stairs that would lead to the plane for over an hour with loads of other people as the door was broken and could not be opened. So not a relaxing journey for any of us.

But …. once we arrived at Dublin and we were together again and started our gigs it was absolutely brilliant. It didn’t matter that it rained most days and that the sky was grey because it was the people that came to see us that warmed our hearts.

Our first gig at Crane Lane Theatre in Cork.
Thanks Ian for setting this gig up. We loved it.
Chilling.
The next morning -very wet- waiting for the coach to take us back to Dublin. Playing at Fibber Magees that night.
At Fibber Magees. Great to see so many familiar faces. We talked so much that we forgot to take any pics. Great gig.
An amazing night at the Stags Head in Dundalk. Petesy joint us on stage for ‘Band From The Roxy’.
Skinner and me.

Big thank you to David Manning for filming the gig at the Stags Head in Dundalk, Ireland.

It looks great in 1080!
