
On this day, 44 years ago Crass recorded their first album in southern Studios – 18 Track EP, 29th October 1978.
We recorded it in one go – starting during the day and working well into the night. It is still my favourite Crass album

Yesterday I joined Tim Burgess at one of his listening parties. It was great that so many people at exactly 7pm pressed play or put the needle of their record player down on the vinyl or listened via Spotify/YouTube or other streaming options.

Crass has worked closely with One Little Independent Records on ‘The Feeding of the Five Thousand Remix Project’. People can download the stems of ‘Feeding Of The Five Thousand’ for free and create their own mix.
During the pandemic domestic violence has increased substantially and all monies raised from the remix project will be donated to the charity ‘Refuge’
Normal Never Was I was available as a limited edition 12″ single on red vinyl and included a digital download when purchased through the One Little Independent store.
Normal Never Was II is available as a limited edition 12″ single on blue vinyl and includes an immediate digital download when purchased through the One Little Independent store. Only 500 records are being pressed.
The release features the latest contributions to the Crass remix project by producers Johnny Dynell and Charles Webber.
