As soon as I’d written that song I had an idea for a t-shirt using one of the photos we had of Evie walking back from the shop with a baseball bat. For her it was a toy but it was a great image to go with this song. It was only a couple of months ago that with the help of Simon from Carry On Screening that my vision became a reality. He cleverly used part of the Slice Of Life Symbol (created by Brian from Flesh and Bone) to create this great image.

From design, to print, to sew on the labels, to getting it on the web shop took about 3 months. At the time of designing this great t-shirt we had no idea that Evie would no longer be with us. I hope you like the design and what it stands for as much as we do.

Text on the back is an extract of the song:

Evie

Sorry to have to tell you that after this there will be no more new pictures of Evie appearing as she passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning 11th October 2021. Just picked up her ashes and she is now safely tucked up in the garden with daffodil bulbs for company.

We had a wonderful 10 years with a wonderful companion – yes, tears but also smiles and great memories.

North East Calling 25-09-2021

After it had to be rescheduled twice due to the pandemic, North East Calling was finally happening. What a line up and so great to meet up with everyone again.

The Ignorant Band: Steve Ignorant (vocals), Carol Hodge (vocals & keys), Jay Bagnall (drums), Pete Rawlinson (bass), Pete Wilson (guitar). All photos by Simon Balaam.

Due to the quick change over time we didn’t had time to put our drum skin on but that didn’t matter, Jay just put it next to it.
Having Colin Jerwood joining us on stage made a great night even more special.
Thanks everyone for supporting us. We truly appreciated it and absolutely loved it.

The Old Cold Store, Nottingham 24-09-2021

Our very first gig of the IGNORANT TOUR after 18 months delay, had to of course start in Nottingham where Crass played 37 years ago. We were all pretty nervous and super excited to finally get on stage and perform those Crass songs that we’ve been rehearsing for the last 2 1/2 years.

What a night! Thanks to our Special guests ‘Static Kill’ and ‘The Blunders’ for joining us. Massive thanks to Lee Garratts from ‘Both Eyes Open’ for setting up the gig and of course a very special thank you to all that come along. It truly was a great start of our tour.
